Domingo 12 de febrero en el Renaissance Ballroom
– WSUA/Radio Caracol 1260 AM se enorgullece en presentar la próxima XV Edicion de los Premios Copa Dorada. Un evento diseñado para honrar a los mas destacados Atletas Hispanos de Miami , desde las ligas infantiles hasta grandes figuras profesionales.
Unos 70 participantes divididos en cuatro categorías – Infantil, High-School, Universidad, y Profesionales - serán homenajeados durante la entrega de premios y almuerzo que se llevará a cabo el domingo 12 de febrero en el Resaissance Ballroom, 5910 SW 8 St a partir de la 12 del dia. El departamento de Deportes de WSUA- Radio Caracol con la ayuda de técnicos, directores atléticos y directores de Ligas Infantiles escogieron a los nominados.
Se trata de un evento en el que los atletas hispanos no sólo son honrados sino también motivados para continuar con su excelencia en el mundo del deporte por otros profesionales de éxito y gran reconocimiento. Algunos de los profesionales que participaron en años anteriores son: la estrella de béisbol Alex Rodríguez, el colombiano Edgar Rentería, Dennis Martínez, Alex Fernández, Andrés Galarraga, Cookie Rojas, los ex campeones mundiales de boxeo Roberto Duran, Héctor Camacho y Joel Casamayor, y los futbolistas Rafael Ortega, Carlos Huerta y Mario Cristóbal.
La prensa hispana de Miami votará para escoger al Atleta Femenino y Masculino del 2011 entre los atletas nominados a nivel de High School y Universidades. Habrá también premios especiales para atletas profesionales y entrenadores por sus logros notables a lo largo de la temporada 2011.
El Nuevo Herald y otros Medios de Prensa local apoyan a los Premios Copa Dorada.

Copa Dorada Sports Awards 2011
Sunday February 12th at the Renaissance Ballroom
WSUA/Radio Caracol 1260 AM is proud to present the XV Edition of Copa Dorada Sports Awards.. An event designed to honor the top Hispanic Athletes in Miami during 2011 from Youth Leagues all the way up to Professional Athletes.
Some 70 athletes divided in four categories - Youth, High School, College, and Pros - will be honored during the awards luncheon to be held Sunday February 12th at the Renaissance Ballroom , 5910 SW 8 St in Miami, beginning with a reception at 12nn. WSUA- Radio Caracol – Sports Department with the help of local coaches , athletic directors and Youth League Directors have been involved in making the nominations.
This is a one of a kind event in which Hispanic athletes are not just honored but also motivated to continue their excellence in the sports world by professionals that have already succeeded and reached the professional level. Past events have included top professionals such as Baseball stars- Alex Rodriquez, Edgar Renteria, Dennis Martinez, Alex Fernandez, Andres Galarraga, Cookie Rojas, former world champions in boxing Roberto Duran, Hector Camacho and Joel Casamayor, and Football Stars like Ralph Ortega, Carlos Huerta, and Mario Cristobal.
Miami’s top Hispanic press outlets will vote to select the Female and Male Athlete of 2011 among nominees in the high school and college categories. Pro athletes and coaches will also be recognized for their remarkable achievements throughout the 2011 season.
